2023 Lantern Project in Lithuania
We produced animal and flower lanterns for this Lithuania project, bringing bold silhouettes, patterned surfaces and colorful garden scenes into a woodland setting. These project photographs show the collection illuminated among the trees and snow.

Ocean Art Lantern made the lantern installations shown in this project collection. Elephants, zebras, giraffes and other animals sit alongside flowers, birds and sculptural leaves. Curved flower stems and snake-shaped arches give the path its own larger features.
The collection works at different heights: low flowers sit near the ground, animal groups fill the middle view, and tall necks, leaves and arches rise above them.
Along the path
A repeating arch becomes a lantern feature
The snake form extends through a series of illuminated arches. Its patterned surface continues from the raised head around the curves, creating a long, recognizable feature between the trees.

Animal lanterns
Distinct shapes, paired figures and varied poses
Our animal pieces use more than surface color to distinguish each group. The elephant and rhinoceros groups pair large and small forms. Giraffes introduce slender vertical shapes, while zebras and tapirs carry strong contrasting patterns.
The spotted cats are arranged on rock-shaped bases at different heights. Their standing and seated poses make the group readable from more than one angle.

Layered scenes
Leaves, birds and a frog in the garden
Broad green leaves form a canopy over a frog and pink flowers. Hanging strands of light add a finer texture below the leaf edges.
Elsewhere, flamingos gather around a blue pond-shaped feature, and a parrot rests on a tree-shaped support. These groups bring different outlines and colors into the woodland display.

Color and shape
Flowers and wings at closer range
The flower collection ranges from recognizable tulip shapes to more sculptural forms with curled petals and raised centers. The butterfly adds a broad patterned surface beside these rounded forms.

See the illuminated details up close
This short sequence moves between tulips, a butterfly and sculptural flowers. It shows the curved panels, surface colors and lighting details from closer viewpoints.
Selected close-up scenes from the project video collection.
A closer look
Patterns follow the three-dimensional form
On the zebra, the black stripes follow the head, cheeks and muzzle rather than sitting on a flat outline. Around the eye, smaller curved markings add expression.
The pink flower uses overlapping petal layers above a separate leaf. Its illuminated surface reveals the curved panel lines and the soft changes in color across each petal.
Your lantern project
Bring a collection of forms into your setting
This project shows how animal groups, flowers and walk-through features can sit together without repeating the same shape throughout. Tell us about your setting and the pieces you would like to create.
