Custom Flower & Botanical Lanterns

We design and manufacture illuminated flowers, leaves and sculptural plants for gardens, festivals and commercial venues. From layered petals to coordinated flower groups, we shape the proportions, colour and lighting around your project.

Botanical forms from our workshop

A flower display can combine open petals, curved stems, broad leaves and smaller decorative details. These completed forms show different ways we build depth, height and colour into a group.

Shape, surface and light

How we build the flower details

The metal outline defines the shape; fabric and colour give it a surface; lighting brings out the layers. Each needs to work with the others, especially where petals overlap.

Full-size outlines and shaped metal pieces show how the floral curves are developed.

Translate the outline into metal curves

We develop the flower and leaf proportions in the design, then use full-size patterns to shape the metal pieces. Curves, petal tips and vein lines are checked before they become part of the three-dimensional form.

The fine shaping frame defines the visible contours. The supporting structure and base are designed separately for the size and installation conditions.

Fit the surface around the internal structure

Fabric is fitted across shaped ribs, with seams and colour boundaries following the petal design. Lamps and wiring are arranged inside the form, with their positions coordinated around the fabric and overlapping surfaces.

This assembly-stage view makes the relationship visible: metal ribs behind the petals, fabric covering the outer face and lamps positioned within the flower.

Bring out the petals in daylight and after dark

In daylight, the contour, surface colour and finishing details carry the design. When illuminated, light passing through the fabric reveals the petal layers; a separate lit detail can give the flower centre more definition.

We review the finished appearance with and without illumination, checking colour, visible seams and uneven bright or dark areas against the agreed design.

Made for your display

Choose the form, colour and composition

We turn your references into a manufacturable flower or plant design, from one focal piece to a coordinated group. The decisions below change how the finished work looks, as well as how it is made.

Petal shape and proportion

Open or cupped blooms, the number of visible petal layers, stem curves and leaf size all change the silhouette. We develop these details together, rather than simply enlarging a flat flower image.

Colour and light

A soft pink bloom, a vivid yellow sunflower and a green leaf need different colour treatment. We coordinate fabric, painted details and light so that daytime colour and the illuminated appearance both suit the display.

Heights and combinations

Mix taller stems with lower flowers, or combine blooms with leaves and small animal forms. Relative height and spacing keep the individual shapes visible within the group.

Individual flowers, composed as a group

The white flower pieces shown here have separate bases, green stems and differently angled heads. Their unlit surfaces make the petal contours and colours visible without the lighting effect.

Plan delivery during design

For larger groups, we determine transport sections around the flower shapes, vehicle space and destination access. Protruding petals need protection, while structural and electrical connections need a clear assembly sequence.

We can provide design, manufacture, transport and installation as agreed for your project. Packing, unloading and on-site work are defined with the destination and access conditions in mind.

Flower lantern questions

Can you make flowers from our reference images and colours?

Yes. We use your references to develop the flower shape, petal layers, stems, leaves and colour palette, then confirm the manufacturing design with you. Intended dimensions, quantities and the display location help us choose the structure and lighting. Branded artwork needs the appropriate permission.

Will the flowers look good before the lights come on?

Both appearances are considered. Shape, colour, fabric finish and seams remain visible in daylight; after dark, the internal lighting changes how the petals and centre read. We review both conditions against the approved design, so material selection is not based on the night view alone.

How do you arrange different flower heights and sizes?

We develop the group as a composition, with the main flowers visible above or between supporting stems and leaves. The groups shown above demonstrate how varied heights and silhouettes can work together. Final spacing also accounts for viewing sides, access and the room needed for the supporting bases.

How are large flower groups packed and transported?

Transport divisions are planned during design. Petals, stems and bases may travel as separate parts where the structure allows, with protection for delicate surfaces and identifiable connection points. The packing and reassembly method is agreed for the actual pieces, destination access and handling equipment.

What affects the price of custom flower lanterns?

Size and quantity are only part of the cost. Petal complexity, the number of layers, surface detailing, lighting, structural requirements and delivery scope also matter. Reference images, expected dimensions, quantity and destination let us prepare a meaningful quotation for a defined design.

Can flower lanterns be used outdoors or beside water?

We develop outdoor installations around the local weather, foundations, drainage, electrical supply and maintenance access. A water-edge display needs its support position and electrical protection agreed before manufacture. Floating or submerged use requires a specifically designed configuration; a lotus shape alone does not make a lantern suitable for either.
